Monica is an Accounting Academic at the UTS Business School, who will shortly be submitting her PhD thesis on Canadian flow-through shares. Her academic journey commenced at UTS, where she completed a Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Accounting and received the University Medal for her thesis titled, "Tax-loss selling in microcap firms on the Canadian TSX Venture Exchange".

Monica was invited to present this paper at the European Accounting Association conference in Cyprus and the Australian Finance and Accounting Association of Australia and New Zealand conference in Brisbane. She appeared on the Dean's Merit List every year of her undergraduate studies and also completed a semester exchange at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, which was a major highlight during her studies.
