Accounting Academic

Monica is an Accounting Academic at the UTS Business School and will shortly be submitting her PhD thesis on Canadian flow-through shares. Monica's academic journey commenced at UTS, where she completed the Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Accounting and received the University Medal for her thesis titled, "Tax-loss selling in microcap firms on the Canadian TSX Venture Exchange".

She was invited to present this academic paper at the European Accounting Association conference in Cyprus, and the Australian Finance and Accounting Association of Australia and New Zealand conference in Brisbane.

Monica appeared on the Dean's Merit List every year of her undergraduate studies, and also completed a semester exchange at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, which was a huge highlight of her studies.
