The Metaverse is expected to be worth $658 billion by 2030. So, what is the Metaverse and how can you learn more about it? Join this half day engaging workshop with expert Patricia Haueiss, to explore the opportunities available to individuals and businesses.

About this course

This workshop is for anyone keen to learn more about the Metaverse, its benefits and how you can engage and apply it to your advantage. Live demonstrations in conjunction with an overview of interconnected technologies will form this workshop's foundations. 

Using an experiential approach, participants will be taken on a journey into the Metaverse, learn what it is and how it can be a future source of work and benefit to individuals and businesses. No pre-work or understanding of coding or blockchain is required to participate in this workshop. All you need is an open mind and willingness to participate in an engaging 2.5 hour session with like-minded individuals and Metaverse consultant, Patricia Haueiss.

By the end of the session, you will have an overview of best practices applicable to the Metaverse and the practical do’s and don’ts of incorporating the Metaverse into business and personal life.

Course outline

This workshop takes an experiential approach, where participants will be taken on a journey into the Metaverse, learn what it is and how it can be a future source of work and benefit to individuals and businesses. No prework nor understanding of coding or blockchain is required for this workshop. All you need is an open mind and willingness to participate in an engaging two- and half-hour session with like-minded individuals and Metaverse consultant Patricia Haueiss.

Course learning objectives

Learn what the metaverse is, why you and your business should care about the metaverse, best practices and its opportunities, through the following learning outcomes:

  • Understand what the Metaverse is and why people spend time in it
  • Understand why your businesses should care about the metaverse
  • Learn how to join a space in the metaverse and connect, play, and work in the metaverse
  • The ability to see job and investment opportunities in the metaverse.

Requirements

Mandatory

There are no pre-requisites for this course, it is open to anyone that is interested in learning more about the Metaverse. Knowledge of coding, blockchain is NOT a requirement of attending.

This session will be run in hybrid mode so participants joining online will need their own laptop and access to the internet. Please note that if you’re not able to join in the metaverse activity planned via your own laptop, you will be able to view it through Patricia’s stream.

To join the metaverse activity, you must meet these minimum system requirements:
