SHORT COURSE

Personal injury claims

Leading practitioners explore issues encountered in various jurisdictions, with a focus on District Court Claims, in this half-day seminar. Advising on personal injury matters requires a broad understanding of the defendant's options for compensation claims. The employment law context may offer one direction; occupiers' liability, negligence, or nuisance could each result in a claim. Motor vehicle accidents and other situations of insured defendants have varying thresholds and procedures.

About this course

We will explore these issues and provide you with important tips and insights to assist in the advice you give to clients and stakeholders. Our experts will address the importance of exploring a defendant’s interests and contractual and legislative alternatives including tactical strategies and evidential issues. Take away key steps in devising advice and strategy in negotiations or claims brought by applicants to develop a nuanced and sophisticated advising style.
