ARITA Advanced restructuring and turnaround (online)

Complete this elective as part of your ARITA Advanced Certification to explore all operational aspects of restructuring and turnaround, and develop skills applicable to restructuring assignments both within and outside a formal insolvency appointment.

About this course

UTS partners with the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA) to provide the Association’s specialist postgraduate education program, the ARITA Advanced Certification. Complete this comprehensive and innovative nationwide education program to enhance and accelerate your career path in restructuring, insolvency or turnaround.

This short course, Advanced Restructuring and Turnaround, forms the University component of one of the two possible electives for ARITA Advanced Certification; the other elective is Advanced Insolvency.

Based on a provided case study:

  • Initial client advice letter
  • Research paper
  • Group strategy document
  • Individual presentation of group strategy 
    (via online meeting)

Learning outcomes

On completing this subject, in addition to the core subject Fundamentals of Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround, participants will receive an Advanced Certificate in Restructuring and Turnaround from ARITA, and satisfy the education requirements to obtain Professional Membership of ARITA.

Prerequisites

Applicants must also be subscribers or members of ARITA prior to enrolling in any subject of the Advanced Certification program. Visit ARITA for further information.

Equipment Required

This course is delivered entirely online. A computer with high-speed Internet connection is essential to access the online UTS library databases and the online Learning Management System used to deliver the course content (Canvas).

The Session

This UTS short course is taught entirely online with no on-campus attendance or official contact hours. Participants should allow 10-12 hours per week to complete the course requirements. This course runs for 12 weeks plus a one-week mid-session break and a one-week study break.

Privacy notice

By enrolling in this course, participants give consent for UTS to disclose relevant enrolment information, including final results, to ARITA in order to verify that prerequisites have been met and confirm participants’ academic progress toward completion of the University component of the ARITA Advanced Certification.

Your enrolment will be confirmed immediately when paying with a credit or debit card via our secure online portal.

Alternatively, ABN holders can request an invoice for payment by EFT. Please note that an enrolment via invoice will remain in Pending status until the payment has been reconciled in UTS accounts; we recommend allowing at least 3 working days after your organisation makes the Electronic Funds Transfer for receipt to be confirmed.
