UTS has been an accredited Cisco Networking Academy and an important Instructor Training Centre (ITC) in ANZ & Pacific Islands region for over 20 years.
The face-to-face course duration for each of the Instructor Training Courses is 42 hours, including assessments, delivered over 6 days where the last two days are purely assessments or assessment resits.

Completion of a CCNA Instructor Training Course at UTS will make trainees eligible to teach the corresponding CCNA Cisco classes.

Candidates who are interested in certifying as instructors to be able to teach at Cisco Networking Academies. You may be a casual academic or HDR student at UTS or another institute, or a member of the Cisco Networking Academy community.
Dr. Wenjing Jia is a Senior Lecturer at UTS with over 15 years of professional teaching and research experience. She is one of the popular Cisco Certified Academy Instructors (CCAIs) and key Cisco teaching staff at UTS Cisco Networking Academy and is passionate about effective teaching and learning. Wenjing has run several instructor training courses with her colleagues.
John Colville has been teaching at UTS for almost 50 years with rich experience in teaching university and corporate students at all levels. In the past several years, John has trained and mentored several instructors at UTS, as well as other universities in Australia and overseas.
