This course begins with an overview of LTE and LTE advanced standards development, 4G spectrum allocations and license assisted access (LAA) capacity increase mechanisms, plus LTE Advanced Pro enhancements.
The LTE radio interface is examined, followed by an overview of the 4G enhancements provided by LTE Advanced Pro. LTE architecture, key components and interfaces are then considered, along with the mechanisms underpinning small cell deployments.
Cloud-based radio access network (C-RAN) architectures are then examined, along with the 4G radio interface structure. The course concludes with an overview of voice of LTE (VoLTE) services and mission-critical push to talk (MC-PTT).
