Tom McBride has worked in the software industry for more than 25 years with most recent experience in both project management and quality assurance. He is involved with software engineering standards development with both Standards Australia and the International Standards Organization where he has helped to develop several standards.
He watched the emergence of eXtreme Programming and the various forms of agile development with some interest. Having also studied the similarities between Toyota Manufacturing System and software development, reading Eric Ries's "Lean Startup" was something of an "Ah Ha" moment. Once you see it, you see it everywhere and the whole concept of a "Minimum Viable Product" becomes the natural way of doing things.
