Course structure
This course consists of a 50-minute recorded video presentation by Catherine Maxwell, General Manager, Policy and Advocacy, Governance Institute of Australia, together with reference resources and activities.
The course will assist participants to:
- Understand the impacts of recent events, including the Hayne Royal Commission and the COVID-19 pandemic, on corporate governance and directors’ duties
- Identify strategies for advising directors and officers on standards, policies, culture, risks and opportunities.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
For NSW lawyers, the Law Society of New South Wales advises: “If this particular educational activity extends your knowledge and skills in areas that are relevant to your practice needs or professional development, then you should claim one (1) “unit” for each hour of attendance, refreshment breaks not included.
