About this course

UTS has been an accredited Cisco Networking Academy and an important Instructor Training Centre (ITC) in ANZ & Pacific Islands region for over 20 years.

The course to be delivered in a blended mode contains six 2.5-hour lecture and tutorial sessions delivered online via Zoom one session per week and eight 2.5-hour lab and assessment sessions delivered on campus on real hardware on weekends, where the last two sessions are purely assessments, exam resits, and feedback.

This will include the following Instructor elements:

  1. Technical requirements to teach each course.
  2. Instruction on Lesson Plans and preparation.
  3. Instruction on Teaching Methodologies.
  4. Instruction on Student Participation Techniques.
  5. Use of Packet Tracer for Instruction, Practice and Assessment.
  6. Information about the Instructor and Student Online Forums.

Potential Instructors will be required to do the following during the course:

  2. Present two (2) discussion sessions on topics randomly selected. These will be delivered to the entire Instructor group and feedback on this will be provided.
  3. Prepare a Packet Tracer practice Activity for the other members of the group to evaluate.
